Community Agreements

Here’s how we show up in community together at Prose City gatherings. These agreements have been crafted with our founding core community members. Each has been carefully considered and we think you’ll agree that these help us to have the best possible events and community dynamic.

  • Arrive on time, stay through. We begin and end together to create a shared container of trust.

  • Take a breath as you enter. Let the day fall away and arrive with presence and care.

  • Balance speaking and listening. Share generously, listen deeply, and leave room for quiet between voices.

  • Make room for everyone. Is anyone being left out? If everyone hasn’t spoken yet, think twice before speaking again.

  • Notice power and access. Stay mindful of power, privilege, and accessibility so more voices can participate fully.

  • Center ideas, honor people. Focus on themes, not advice-giving, and meet each person’s journey with respect and curiosity.

  • Speak with humility. Share to enrich, not to convince; assume good intent while staying accountable for impact.

  • Protect the container. Treat what’s shared here with care and confidentiality; trust is what makes real connection possible.

  • Choose community care. If you’re unwell, or the space doesn’t feel right that day, honor the group and yourself with rest.

  • Welcome discomfort as growth. Let challenging ideas and feelings surface, trusting the group can hold them with care.
