Confluence Café is a small gathering for those craving nuanced, thought-provoking conversation focused on ideas and deeper explorations of these. This is a space where we challenge our assumptions, broaden our perspectives, and make deeper connections in community. The idea is to fully engage our curiosity, our intellect, and our empathy.
Please note that we intentionally keep this small — aiming for 6 to 8 people — and word of mouth only.
This isn’t an academic or scholarly gathering, nor is it a place for pat answers. Rather it is an intellectual space where we discuss ideas, ask bold questions, exchange perspectives, and grow in the company of curious, open-hearted thinkers. We typically have a loose theme for each gathering centered on an idea to discuss. We’ll often have an article or story that someone from the group puts forward in advance and we use that to inspire our discussion.
We encourage respectful listening and consideration of all viewpoints, with a focus on ideas, theories, and intellectual exploration. This is not a space for giving or receiving personal advice or support.

We don’t charge for our events. All time, labor, and expense is an offering from the Prose City crew to the community. We don’t publish the event details (date, time, location) publicly.
