A memoir-style community writing circle from Prose City.

In this small, welcoming writing group, we gather to write from our lives—not to produce polished memoirs (though you might go on to do that!), but to explore the stories, images, and questions that have shaped us. We’ll write in response to memory, emotion, and sensory detail—drawing from the well of lived experience, as well as taking inspiration from select writers and memoirs.

The Life Writers writing series is designed for a small group (5–8 people) to foster intimacy, trust, and authentic connection. That said, we know that life happens, so it is structured to allow people to join as they can without feeling like they’re “missing anything” critical when they can’t. Sharing some of what you’ve written is always welcome, but never required.

Rather than being structured for around cohorts or seasons, the series is meant to be ongoing, and we’ll open it up to new folks as space allows.

No prior writing experience is needed—just curiosity, care, and a willingness to put pen to page (or fingers to keyboard).
