The Hourglass Writers Club by Prose City is a generative writing group where we craft prose and poetry, share perspectives and motivation, and build community. Our sessions always aim to provide a welcoming space for writers of all backgrounds and experience levels to explore, create, and grow together.
Whether you’re penning your first story, refining a poem you’ve been sitting with, or just fine-tuning your craft in general, you’ll be among kindred spirits.
Like our signature hourglasses shown below, creativity and expression come in many hues and in their own time, so there is never any pressure to strictly adhere to the prompts. The aim is for these to inspire and encourage an enjoyable writing experience; whatever that looks like for you is welcome.
All you need is something to write with, something to write on, as well as your curiosity and openness to discover where your words might lead.
If you’d like to join our Hourglass Writers Club, please fill out our interest form and we’ll follow up!
Please be sure you are familiar with our community agreements before attending any Prose City events.
