We’re thrilled to offer a glimpse at a new resource we’re developing for the Prose City community. For years, the wonderful folks over at Literary Portland had been maintaining a directory and calendar of literary events, series, and organizations. That was last updated in 2024, so we’ve decided to offer our own time, energy and resources toward developing a similar offering.
Whether you’re a longtime area resident or are just visiting briefly, we hope this will prove helpful to help you discover the abundance of literary magic that makes Portland, Oregon our very own Prose City.
We’ll be adding a lot more helpful detail over time, but for now wanted to offer these sooner rather than wait. As we know, a work in progress is better than nothing at all!

We’ll be expanding this, refining it, adding more categories and more detail over time. If you see something missing, or something that is incorrect, please let us know. We have removed some resources that are no longer around, and we know that others are dormant or are now only an archive of a once active resource. We’ll be marking these clearly, as well.
